|"Use wire to connect devices together."|
Wires are metallic signal lines that can lead a signal from a pressure plate, button, lever, signal sustain or delay, and any logic gate to activate a connected device. It can be found at Wood R Us and Link's Logic. Wires come in a small light blue-grey box. When the wire is active, it will turn a light blue color, showing that it is leading a signal. Wire can run a maximum 20 units in length, whereas the neon wire has a maximum of 16 units.
Active wire doesn't generate any light, despite the color change making it look like it creates light.
When activated, the wire can trigger almost anything that a player can activate. This includes (to this date) conveyors, lighting fixtures, doors, vehicle spawners, firework launchers, hatches, buttons, levers, and pressure plates.
More than one wire can be connected to a single source. This is great if you want a trigger to activate multiple devices at once.
How to use it
- Open the wire box and place the starting position for the wire. This is usually at the output of a gate or trigger.
- Place points of the wire where you want it to go.
- End the wire somewhere, usually at the input of a logic gate or device.
- If you need to extend the wire, connect another wire to the end of the first wire.
Some devices will not work correctly through logic gates. Using a button as a repeater solves this. Connect the wire to a button, and another to the button's output as the wire to the device.
